The winning combination of the Briot Axcell and Accura CL brings simplicity to the workshop with its many automatic features and class-leading functionality. All job types, including rimless, can be effortlessly processed on the Axcell/CL system with a minimum of operator training.

Integrated Drilling - The Accura CL and Lab is equipped with an automatic drilling system within the edger, meaning that edging, polishing and drilling is performed automatically within a single lens clamping. Drilling is performed parallel to the axis rotation of the lens, from the front curve. The result is a perfectly prepared rimless lens with reproducible quality.

Safety Bevelling - The edger has the option to apply a consistent safety bevel to front and rear of the lens at the touch of a button, taking away yet another manual operation.

Automatic Grooving - 3D Supra grooving is performed automatically on the Accura CL and Lab for all plastic and polycarbonate lens materials.

The Axcell Innovation: an automatic device to trace frames, to centre and block lenses and recognise the coordinates of rimless holes.

Automatic Hole Recognition - The digital image processing of Axcell automatically detects the shape of a demo lens or pattern, the hole coordinates and notches and the axis. A manual mode permits holes to be added, removed or modified.

Create your own designs - DIGIFORM allows you to modify the dimensions of stored patterns to create an unlimited number of new shapes that can me stored in the device's capacious memory. The DIGIFORM function is also available for drilled lenses.

5D Tracing - The latest generation of Scanform not only measures the frame in full 3D (length, height & curve) but also the angle of the groove and the frame thickness, with no risk of distortion. This 5D measurement guarantees the best accurcy and aesthetics for all jobs. The scond stylus of the Scanform measures the angle of the groove to ensure the most accurate size for the lens.

Centering and Blocking - The Axcell digitally captures the shape of a pattern or demo lens by image processing (PROS) as well as the rimless hole coordinates. It also automatically detects the optical centre of single vision lenses, the position of the near-vision segment for bi-focal lenses, the axis fo cylindrical lenses and the markings of progressive lenses. The Axcell then centres the lens automatically without the use of a lensmeter for marking the lens, and the blocks the lens automatically.

Touch Screen Technology - Intuitive operation is assured by use of simple icons on the touch-screen display. Input of job data and selection of options is made simply and with minimal possibility of operator error.
