The Briot Alta can undertake any job, even the most complex: grooved and drilled lenses, or with high curvature. In a word - perfection!
The Alta NX edger pushes back the limits of lens edging whilst optimising your time. It allows you to undertake more complex work such as the latest designs in rimless eyewear and lenses with high curvature.
Autofocus Bevel - to personalise the job you have the choice of four fully automatic bevels that take the lens geometry and tracing data fully into account.
Finesse Safety Bevel - this option provides surgical precision on the internal and external faces of any lens thickness.
Millimetrique Drilling - an entirely new design allows rimless drilling to be made at any angle from 0° to 30° with an outstanding accuracy of 0.1mm, resulting in easy fitting of rimless mounts to the lens.
Concordance Grooving - The inclined groove is placed automatically according to the curvature and the thickness of the lens.
Diamant Polish - absolute transparency and sparkle to add to the elegance of the finished masterpiece.
Alta XL tracing and centering
The Alta NX edger is complemented by the Alta XL automatic tracing and centering system. Incorporating an integrated scanform and and automatic lens recognition, centering and blocking processes, the Alta XL is the logical companion to the new Briot edger.
5D frame tracing - The new Briot patented stylus registers the shape of the frame as well as the frame thickness. A second stylus tip calculates the angle of the frame groove, and the combined data are used mathematically to instantly adapt the lens perfectly to the frame.
PROS: automatic detection of drill holes - Demo lenses and patterns are instantly identified by the optical recognition system. The shape, type of lens, axis and optical centre, drilling coordinates (holes notches and slots) are immediately recognised. A memory system stores up to 500 jobs including lens shapes and drilling coordinates.
DIGIFORM total control of frames - the DIGIFORM software allows you to modify existing shapes and also create your own. It also allows very simple adaptation of progressive lenses.
Blocking - New electro-magnetic blocks combined with new adhesive technology blocks the lens and ensures that it is held perfectly with no risk of offsetting.
