Shape modification for Briot edgers

The all new Briot Digiform+ is a powerful software solution to allow adaptation of lens shapes according to the wishes of the user.

This is a useful feature when, for example, the patient chooses a frame that is too shallow for ideal dispensing of a progressive lens. Digiform+ provides a solution by allowing the dimensions of the lens to be adapted to suit the specific requirement.

Possible shape modifications include:

• Proportional modification - to generally increase or decrease the size of a lens.
• Vertical modifcation - to increase only the vertical element of the lens, for example to aid near vision fitting in a shallow lens shape.
• Horizontal modification - commonly used to adapt a rimless frame to wide faces.

In addition to its shape modification capability, Digiform+ also provides a useful job database to store many thousands of shapes in the memory, along with the frame's brand name, model reference and size.

Briot Digiform+ is compatible with the Briot Silver, Silver+ and CX range of lens edging machines.

Computer requirements are:

• Pentium IV 1 GHz minimum
• 256 Mb RAM
• 1 USB port available
• 1 RS232 port available
