Industrial quality to guarantee the finest results for rimless spectacles
The new ProLens 3D offers greater production flexibility by integrating with other components in the lab production line and being compatible with many lab software systems.
Drilling with the ProLens 3D places the operator in the world of digital machinery, where accuracy is programmable and consistently repeatable. Drilling is automatically controlled for the selected lens shapes, including holes, slots and notches.
The display of the shapes and the speed of operation are two of this units exceptional features, together with the rugged and functional design. This makes the ProLens 3D extremely suitable for high volume production of rimless eyewear.
Flexibility - the drill is equipped with a swivel table that makes it possible to position the lens in the direction desired for easy drilling. The angle of the drilling can be adjustable in several ways. The lens can be drilled vertically, according to the internal (rear) curve, the external (front) curve, or in relation to a base curve specified by the operator.
Accuracy - a sensor mounted on the drill support measures the lens at two specific points to calculate the external base curve. This ensures that the results are more aesthetically pleasing and accurate.
Versatility - The use of the drill is so flexible that a single drill bit, 1mm in diameter, can make holes, notches and slots from 1mm to 3mm. The ProLens 3D drills all types of plastc and polycarbonate lenses, according to the programs selected.
Increased Automation - when used in combination with the Briot Axcell system the PROS (Pattern Recognition Optical System) identifies the appriate holes to be drilled according to the shape of the lens. Axcell recognises the lens shapes and identifies the optical centre, the axis of the lenses, the markings on progressive lenses and all specifications for the holes to be drilled.
Modify - the operator has the option to manually confirm, change or modify the hole placement that has been automatically identified by the Axcell unit.
Create your own design - By combining Axcell's Digiform software (which modifies stored shapes) with the option of manually selecting drill coordinates, Axcell provides maximum flexibility and creativity in executing a job. The rimless lenses can therefore be adapted perfectly to the wishes of the consumer.
