When using lens blocking pads please remember the following guidelines.

1. Do not store unused LEAP™ III pads in a refrigerator or similar device because the cool temperature will stiffen up the adhesive, making it less sticky in application.
2. When blocking MAR lenses ensure that the lens is edged as soon as possible after blocking, to prevent possibility of a reduction in adhesion due to the low surface tension of the lens.
3. For the latest generation of "super slippery" MAR coated lenses use an anti-torsion foil between the lens and the pad to reduce the possibility of slippage. The anti-torsion foil can be obtained from Weco UK under part number 2-256030 priced at just £12.95 for 500 pieces.
4. When edging MAR coated lenses use the "safety grinding" option on the lens edger.
