The Edge 455 is a fully featured edger with many options for simple and automatic processing of standard and complex lenses. Its adaptive clamping and grinding pressure allows the safe and reliable edging of the latest generation of MAR and hydrophobic coated lenses. Edge 455 is available in two basic configurations:

Edge 455 Drill

Integrated automatic drilling of rimless lenses as part of a seamless cycle has been part of the Weco tradition for more than five years. Weco have more experience in in-edger drilling than any other company and have sold many hundreds of systems in the UK market. The Edge 455 Drill is the latest generation of drill edger and is now more intuitive than ever before.

• Choice of lens bevelling programs

Edge 455 SX

In cases where rimless drilling is not required the Edge 455 SX provides useful features to automate processes to provide a high degree of reproducibility. Features include:

• Variable clamping and grinding pressure for MAR coated lenses
• Immediate lens clamping using a pneumatic system
• Fully automatic rotary pin bevelling (chamfering)
• Fully automatic supra grooving
• Choice of lens bevelling programs
• Automatic polishing
