To allow the patient to read at a more natural angle when reading the near vision chart through the phoroptor, the arm inclines forwards, whilst at the same time illuminating the chart with a halogen light source.
The luxurious reclining patient chair moves forward and backward to accommodate the widest 
range of patients and also features folding arm rests and footplate. The chair slides round to the back of the unit to allow easy access for patients in a wheelchair, who will also benefit by the up-down movement of the instrument table and phoropter arm.
