Briot and WECO Consolidate in New UK Company

UK edging technology is to be consolidated in a new supply and service company, Buchmann UK Limited, which brings together Briot and WECO edging machinery, Rodenstock Instruments, Henson visual field analysers and Breitfeld & Schliekert practice accessories.

The newly expanded company brings a doubling of sales and support staff to the former WECO UK operation. Already providing an estimated 50% of UK premium edging technology, Buchmann UK is keen to reassure customers of both WECO and Mainline - the former supplier of Briot equipment - that sales and technical support will only improve under the new, united, company.

Jacky Buchmann, Chairman of the Antwerp-based Buchmann Optical Holdings, is delighted to see the supply of glazing technology strengthened -
